Canadian citizens who live abroad may apply to be on the International Register of Electors, which will allow them to vote by mail-in special ballot in federal general elections, by-elections and referendums.
Elections Canada is currently reaching out to Canadian voters living abroad to update its International Register of Electors.
If you have received a Verification Notice email, please make sure to respond by the deadline: October 27, 2023.
In accordance with the Canada Elections Act, electors who do not respond by the deadline must be removed from the International Register of Electors.
