Scholarship Application for SevenGen Conference

SevenGen is hosting the “2022 Indigenous Youth Energy Summit: The Power of Kinship” in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada from March 10-13, 2022. This summit aims to empower the next generation of energy leaders by fostering community, building skills, and uplifting Indigenous youth to use their talents to lead meaningful and equitable climate action.

The Consulate General of Canada in New York will be providing scholarships for a delegation from the Northeastern U.S. to participate in the 2022 summit. Scholarships will cover the conference fee, travel, meals, and accommodation.

Interested parties are encouraged to apply by completing this linked application by Thursday, January 20, 2022. Delegates should identify as part of an Indigenous or Native American community; be between the ages of 18-30; and reside in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, or Pennsylvania. Prior experience working on environmental or energy issues is welcome, but not necessary – anyone with a curiosity or passion for sustainability is encouraged to apply!
