March Newsletter Preview: Women History Month Highlight
The youngest sister of the late civil rights activist Viola Desmond, Wand Robson was also an activist. Before passing away this past February, Wanda Robson was named to the Order of Nova Scotia in December 2021 as a “pillar of the African Nova Scotian community“. She is well-known with her local community of North Sydney, Nova Scotia as an educator and author. Her biography book “Sister to Courage” provides us stories of the household that produced the civil-rights icon Viola Desmond.
