Music of the Americas: Canada Culture Week
November 9 to November 13, 2020
Nov. 9, 2020 – The Consulate General of Canada in New York partnered with the Americas Society on a Canada Culture Week dedicated exclusively to Canadian artists. Music of the Americas’ ongoing online video series “En Casa (At Home)” became “At Home/À la maison” and welcomed five Canadian musicians: Thanya Iyer and her trio, Cellist Elinor Frey, Anashinaabe and Cree singer and songwriter Tara Williamson, Soprano Suzie LeBlanc and Trinidadian/Canadian Kobo Town. The Visual Arts team interviewed Emily Shanahan and Elise Rasmussen on Instagram Live. The shows are available for replay on Americas Society’s YouTube channel.
