Enslaved: The Lost History of the Transatlantic Slave Trade

October 23, 2020 — The Consulates General of Canada and Israel in New York partnered together to co-host a panel discussion on the new 6-part docuseries streaming on EPIX and on the CBC. The series examines 400 years of human trafficking from Africa to the New World and is led by Hollywood icon and human rights activist, Samuel L. Jackson. The panel was moderated by Canadian scholar Dr. Charmaine Nelson and included the creative team of Canadian-Israeli Executives as well as Kramer Wimberley and Alannah Vellacott, two of the principle divers from Diving with a Purpose. The Acting Consuls General of Israel and Canada offered welcome remarks. The Zoom panel was live-streamed to over 1,500 people on Facebook, and is available to watch on replay here.
