Wednesday January 22, 2020
To commemorate the U.S. release of Max Eisen’s memoir By Chance Alone, the Consulate General of Canada in New York partnered with his publisher Hanover Square, International March of the Living, USC Shoah Foundation, and the Museum of Jewish Heritage on an evening featuring Mr. Eisen in conversation with Shari Finkelstein of 60 Minutes. He discussed his life and remarkable story of surviving Nazi death camps before resettling in Canada. ACG/Nasim welcomed the crowd of approximately 200 people to the Museum of Jewish Heritage with remarks that touched on Canada’s history of welcoming Holocaust survivors and the importance of hearing their stories and keeping these memories alive.
