“At Dirt Candy, dinner is an experience of the raw and the cooked, the bold and the beautiful, full of roaring fire, tableside grilling, strange broths, and dishes that are both deceptively simple and staggeringly complex.” It’s the brainchild of Ottawa-born owner and chef Amanda Cohen. Since opening Dirt Candy in 2008, her goal has been to “push vegetables further than anyone else in the world.” A string of accolades followed shortly thereafter – most recently in October 2022, when Dirt Candy was awarded its first Michelin Star.
